By the time Dean and Kali Morgan first encountered the realities of human trafficking, they had lived in seven countries, raised a family and built successful careers. Dean’s background was in the military, security and crisis management, while Kali brought experience in mental health and holistic wellbeing. Their lives had been full of adventure, change and new directions, but nothing had prepared them for what came next.

A presentation on human trafficking changed everything.

For Kali, it was the suffering of the children. For Dean, the profound injustice of it all. Both were deeply affected by what they learned and felt compelled to do something.

They initially explored volunteering, but balancing their professional commitments with meaningful involvement proved difficult. They knew they wanted to help, but had yet to find a way.

Then Dean made a life-changing decision: he would leave his career to create the time and freedom to volunteer.

Almost immediately, a remarkable opportunity arose. Recognising Dean’s extensive experience and established reputation in security and crisis management, a leading international anti-trafficking organisation approached him to establish and develop operations across Africa and the Middle East.

What began as a desire to volunteer had opened the door to something far greater: an opportunity for Dean and Kali to dedicate their experience, skills and lives to protecting vulnerable children.
